Best AI Application Award

I won the best paper application award at the AI-2016 conference in Cambridge for the paper titled "A Genetic Algorithm Based Approach for the Simultaneous Optimisation of Workforce Skill Sets and Team Allocation". The awards was presented by the British Computer Society's Specialist Group on Artificial Intelligence.

A collaboration between the University of Essex and BT has won the business service innovation category of the 2015 Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards.
The University of Essex team included Professor Hani Hagras, from the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, and PhD student Andrew Starkey, who worked with a BT team led by Dr Gilbert Owusu and Dr Sid Shakya.
